May Chris Henry rest in peace.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/paul_daugherty/12/17/henry/Chris Henry could run 40 yards in 4.3 seconds. Problem was, trouble ran a 4.2. Henry was the face of the Bad Boy Bengals, even when that gaze no longer belonged to the team, or to him. In 2009, Henry was a reformed man, living his second chance to the fullest.
And then he died.
Just at the time he was running to daylight,'' said Bengals president Mike Brown, "his life was snuffed out.''
Chris was known around the league as being a bad boy, someone who seemed to always be in trouble. It is such a shame that someone who had started taking the right steps to become a better person suddenly dies. It doesn't seem right.
As teammate Chad Johnson put it....
"My grandma always says you never really question the man upstairs on decisions he makes because he never makes mistakes, but ... (holding back tears) I don't see how Chris was supposed to go already. Especially when you're on the right path."
Rest in Peace Chris Henry... you will be missed.
