we need both d-men and centers

he does look like a good prospect, and Russ can do everything Letang does so I wouldn't count in on picking him up

ben lovejoy would be another pretty good option, but if it were between the two I would take jeffrey

Our center & defenseman issues are obviously glaring needs for this team.  Adding depth at those positions is a must, but I believe we must also look in the offseason to addressing those positions with some players that can play now and not stock up on prospects alone (but with that said, stocking up on prospects can held with future trades as well).

Getting a #1 center like Marleau would be great, but I have a hard time buying the CBJ will pay the kind of money it would take to get a #1 center to come to this organization.  A true #1 center might take less coin to go elsewhere just because he might feel he has a better chance at winning the cup somewhere else.  The same goes for getting a true #1 Defenseman for this team.  Here's to hoping the prospects get better sooner rather than later!

yes and he's putting up much better numbers than he was at center.  I just mentioned him as an example, since he's one of those names that always seems to get tossed around as possible candidates.

Bah ...as much as we wish Marleau would center Nash ,Howson made it clear that Brassard will have to play that role, and he is starting to find his game back.
