well yeah, 8 mill, but this team will never spend to cap....not even close, you can knock off about 2 to 3 mill off.

Last year being thre exception where we actually made a trade that made us look serious....I still remember the exictement and joy of getting Vermette for Leclair, oh glory days

Firefly can remember those days too  ROFL

I would hate to trade Brass or Voracek, I would rather trade Umberger or Vermette then Voracek, I also love Brassard but I guess I could see him move if we can get some good value, I haven't given up on him at all, in fact he's one of my favorite jackets, but it just seems he doesn't have the absolute confidence in his abililtes, like he did last year before he got injured...

It's a tough call, I'll leave it to Howson

Question: I know alot of players get dealt on trade deadline day, but have owners ever been traded? I would love to get some new owners here

My question is, what kind of talent can the Jackets expect from the second rounder acquired from Buffalo?

ESPN's take on the Raffi trade:

Quote
Breakdown: The Blue Jackets, looking to shed salary in the middle of a disappointing season, get a defenseman who will challenge for playing time.

They graded the deal a B+, but I guess they were looking at it from Buffalo's perspective.

The Modin analysis didn't even mention the Blue Jackets.

I guess the brief analysis perfectly sums up the 2009 - 2010 Blue Jacket season?

I'm hopping on the LA Kings bandwaggon for the remainder of the year, just so everybody knows.

I will still watch bluejackets time but come april Drew Doughty and the gang will have my undivided attention.

Heh, a couple of weeks ago I put all of the NHL teams into a hat and drew for a team to support into the playoffs.  I originally threw away Columbus and Edmonton.

I picked Carolina.  After throwing that one away too, I picked again.  I drew Buffalo so I guess it's the Sabres for me.  That's fine because I get to root on Raffi and Miller.
