Actually, I think birdmans suggestion was to remove the rep all together.

I noticed some new members having negative rep after their first 5 or 10 posts and wasn't sure why.  I understand that people aren't going to agree with everyone.  I don't really think the negative was being abused by anyone.  It's just that sometimes people are more inclined to hit down to disagree with someone than to hit up to agree.  

I'm still on the fence about this.  I do however like the idea that people can disagree so I'm not sure if this is going to stick.  Actually, I might bring back the negative and alter the voting threshold for a day or so and see how it goes.

I used to want the rep bar to be discontinued but now that I've smartened up my rep had reflected it.

nobody is asking you to jump on anything...but have you ever thought that this is not a forum for the av's or canadian superiority?? we are talking about our team..the columbus blue jackets...we are passionate about them and we won't apologize for that...if your rep is such a big deal to you that you worked behind the scenes to get it taken away when you were the only one having problems then again i ask you to look at how you respond to other peoples posts....it's all up to you birdman not up to us...this is the last time i will try and make you aware of how others feel and if you don't want to hear it...that's ok by me...all we ask for is intelligent conversation and good discussions and untill you want to participate in that manner i would guess your rep will continue to suffer

bird, its not that you have to agree with everything thats said. its that when you disagree, you have to disagree respectfully rather than jumping all over people like they are dumb, thats where the negatives come from.

Another reason Fly should marry Vermette, it's the main reason his rep is skyrocketing into the +'s.
