This summer when I return to regular work and making a lot more money I plan on getting a ticket package for next season. I'm torn though. Here in Cincinnati we have an AA ECHL team, the Cincinnati Cyclones. It's not NHL quality, but the team is a solid team with a great coach who has the made the playoffs the past few seasons even winning the Kelly Cup in 2008. I really enjoy their games and now that I moved back to Cincinnati I go to a lot more of them. However, the clones recently eliminated their half season package that I was looking at (it was priced at around $190). On the other hand, 10 Jackets games in the upper bowl, home ice end are $209.

I was debating which to go with...
Half season of Cyclones, ten minutes away, I can find free parking and its the hometown team.
or
10 Jackets games, but I gotta drive, however it's NHL hockey.

Then the Cyclones eliminated their half season option and now only offer these two options:
24 games - $264
12 games - $144

A full season is out of the options for the clones with work and other obligations, but I'm bummed about the half season going away. Right now I'm leaning towards the 10 Jackets games, hell you get the advantage of purchasing early playoff tickets (wishful thinking, right?).

Anyone else's thoughts on the matter? Just curious how your experiences have been with Blue Jackets ticket packages. Which would you go with?

I live in a suburb of Columbus, and my wife and I are looking to get a 10 game pack for next season.  We do volunteer work on weekends and sometimes that conflicts with the games, so any more than that and we will either have to sell the tickets or not do the volunteer work.  So the 10 game pack is going to work best for us.

Gordon, I live in the Cincinnati area too and have also been thinking about some ticket packages.  Ultimately, I'm leaning towards making the drive up to Columbus because I want to see the top level players.  For the Cyclones, tickets can usually be bought day of game.

Only a handful of CBJ games sell out. And even games that sell out, tickets can be bought online at STUBHUB a few hours before the game.  I get tickets on stubhub and ebay cheaper than my season ticket package costs.

I will have plenty of my seats available for next year.  If anyone is interested in splitting the season you can email me here bluejackets@wowway.com . Thanks!

I'm officially moving up there, now I'm debating on season tickets or not, I'll probably end up getting them but I'm now looking into it since I know for sure I'm moving up there.

My wife and I are original ticket holders and I want to gauge interest from others .

Our seats are in 103 K and other than the San Jose game, tonight against Atlanta and Washington, this will be the only times since January that we are using our seats.

If you are interested in buying seats from me next year at the $73 price let me know, and if there is enough interest, I will renew.

I really ahte giving up these seats, but hate losing money even more.
