hmm, this intrigues and surprises me...at first glance. since it's only a one year deal i have no reason to think with his past few years that he'll be sticking around in Philly for more than a season. He just doesn't show any emotion or bring anything in the way of locker room prescence to any team.

I agree , I myself was surprised that Philly signed out of all those players ,Zherdev ,but I'm also surprised he only accepted 2 million for one year.I mean Zherdev isnt a Flyer type player, sure Gagne,Briere and Giroux arent either but at least they will hit back if they get harrased,Zherdev will tend to hide in the corner until the dust settles. This guy plays like a mercenary, you give him money for a half done job, thats how I see him.On the other hand , he only accepted 2M , this is coming from the guy that held out on the cbj too sign him for big money (in 2006) and yet he accepts a feable amount, maybe he's a changed man we will see.
