Well, might as well get the topic started, as I start it, the Hawks have scored (1-0) on their first shot.
Maybe I should have titled the topic of the Blue Jackets vs. Blackhaws (and the NHL too).

I am going to go with prediction of 3-2 Jackets.

Nice Save by Garon on the Penalty Shot.. Other than the goal by Chicago, we have played a pretty good game....Just need to finish on one of these power plays.

Doesn't look like anything is going right for us again tonight...Hope Howson or Arniel have something up their sleeves with a trade or something. We have been outhustled and/or outplayed a little too often lately.

our defense's favorite hobby is leaving Garon out to dry.

I keep reading about a trade, but what do the Jackets have to trade?  These guys have NO heart and not much skill as I see it.  Lets say Howson wants to make a trade:  What do they possibly have to offer of value that will get them any type of upgrade in talent?

If anything this organization trades away the heart and soul of the team.  I say bring back Raffi Torres and Jody Shelley.

yea... just more of the same... we bearly sqeeze out a goal... just enough to avoid a shutout against us...

the lack of scoring goals by this team is glaring to say the least...  how can you be a professional hockey player in the most elite league in the world... and not be able to score goals...?

WHY ... ( and im serious here ) why does this team and its coaching staff continue to not have someone in front of the net ... ( not just on power plays ) but at any point where we have the puck ... ?

i feel really bad for # 32 ... he does his best and what SHOULD be enough out there on most nights ... and comes away with the loss...

oh well... i guess this is all nikita filatov's fault... right ...? right...?

Well, its about that time of year, so I will go ahead and address your question buck!  Expect to see a lot of people comment some harsh things, but its always the same!  So, here goes!

WHO?  (I just typed a long narrative and then erased it)  Basically, anyone!  Lets start with Nash!  Huselius!  Umberger!  At this point, why would anyone be "untradable"?  Why keep someone and still have a team that keeps losing and doesn't have a chance at the playoffs?  I have may favorite players, and guys I like, but in the end I want to see the BLUEJACKETS come out on top each and every night.

absolutely!  If you look, I say "NOBODY" should be untradable.  I listed the names just as a point, and that being we suck!  Is it Nash's fault...NO!  Is it Umberger's fault...NO!  Is it Jake's fault...NO!  Its Howson's fault, and all the people who rubbed his head like a little rabbit should smack themselves!

If trading Jake and Vermette would net us a return of top end productive players that lead to wins, then all be it!  Granted, where ever they would go, that team would become one of my favorites (except Detroit)!  But, I do think there are guys here who are really good players and you can't trade everybody.  The point is, we need a top defenceman, we need a good offensive defenceman, we need a consistent scoring winger, and we need a really good two way center!  That adds up to moving several "popular names" on this team.  I wish we could get all of that while keeping Nash and Umberger and our top 2 or 3 AHL guys, but it ain't gonna happen.  Keep the names we have and continue losing seasons or trade them and learn a new name as your favorite blue jacket, thats the choice.

Oh yeah bring back the guy who almost broke one of the Bruins- Adam McQuaide's-neck the other day by checking from behind. We definitely could use some two-game suspensions.

Look, Shelley may have played with a lot of heart, but he also plays dirty now, and that just can't be overlooked.

Howson has to do something, and if it involves trading some talent, then do it. Something has to change after 10 seasons.

It bewilders me that our needs have not changed in 10 seasons. Were still looking for a top defenseman and we've spent the last 8 seasons trying to find a center for Nash.

If Nash had a top line centerman feeding him the biscuit we would have a Stanley Cup contender on our hands along with a 50+ goal scorer...
