Looks like we need to get the topic started.  I am going to go with a 3-2 Win by the Jackets tonight and see a good finish before the All Star Break. We will see if the ice plays any factor into the game.

Lets go Jackets! Its Hunting Season. Duck Hunting Season!        Carry the Flag

what a ridiculous call, you cant call a 5 min boarding on that when he turned his back at the last second. 2 min minor is what it should of been, what a joke

Agreed    1  That could be a game changer, but we have came back from many two goal leads lately.

2nd PP in the period for us. Hopefully we cash in this time and hopefully Hejda is alright.  This game could get out of hand real quick the way its looking

Nice Power Play Goal by Nash, Wish it was a few seconds earlier though to take advantage of the 5 on 3. 250 for Nash!   Hopefully we have a better officiated last two periods and we just come back and win and this 5 minute major will be no big deal... big grin

Agreed, think the officials think the all star break started yesterday.  Only 2-1 still. I predict either a shootout or OT win for the Jackets

yeah that was a VERY tough call on Dorsett.  guy turned, saw him coming and so her turned his back at the last second.  they go score 2 goals on the major.

Then Hejda takes basically the same hit, not even a minor.

regardless, we are in the game heading to the third. need a 1 goal comeback. We have severely outplayed them to this point, but we have to finish (cough cough.... russell)

lets play a great third and get some points to sit on for the break

Tough goal given up by Mason. Defenseman out of position, but nice PP Goal by Brassard and more than enough time to get some more. Lets go Jackets!

these refs are driving me nuts!!! 1 goal game with 4:30 to go.  Voracek gets raped with a chance to break free on Hiller... nothin.  20 seconds later a Duck is laying on top of Umberger not letting him up and back into the play... nothin.

what game are these guys watching?!?!?!?!?   bang head bang head

deserved a better fate tonight.  think we played a pretty good game overall but couldnt finish the job.

I think a lot of guys played pretty well tonight (even stralman played a decent game tonight)  HOWEVER... Russell just continues to suck.  He missed that wide open net and how many times (especially down the stretch) did he fail to keep the puck in the zone on easy plays??

that one was frustrating. i think we deserved better.  bang head

I have played a lot of sports in my lifetime, most of them very competitively. I was always taught by my coaches that we should never find ourselves in the position where the referee costs us the game.

However, after experiencing some of the worst game changing calls ever, you have no choice but to understand that sometimes the referees influence the game more than the players. This was the case tonight. A total BS call on Dors and a BS no call on a hit to Hedja. Voracek gets held up, Pahlsson gets his stick held, Umberger is in the fetal position behind the Ducks net and there are NO CALLS? It seriously pisses me off that the refs decided our fate tonight. Sure Russel should have finished and we deserved a better fate, but come on already. The 5 minute major gave them all the ammo they needed. 2 goals on like the first 2 shots of the power play. Its a joke.

Im sitting here typing this out and I cant help but keep thinking: What a bunch of effin bullpoopie.
