With this start and the negativity....I have to send him back.

There's just no point in having him here.  It's similar to the reason I think they sent Cam to the A.

i think its exactly what he needs ... its called reality ... he has been on good teams and dominated on them ... guess what its not that way all the time... sometimes you are on a team that has to go through alot of tough times

and i don't buy that thats why Cam got sent down either ...

my guess and hope is that Johan stays all year and develops against the best the NHL has to offer and learns from them

so you want to burn the 1st year of his rookie contract so he can play 4th line minutes on a team in shambles?  I get your point, I'd just rather delay reality for a year.

on Cam, while GMSH said it was a numbers game, Arniel said something to the effect of "I don't want him here while we're going through THIS."

another reason I'd prefer to send him back is our history of bringing up prospects too soon: Klesla, Brule, Filatov, etc.

last night's game shed new light.

he got real time on the #2 line.

...and that pass to Vermette?   AWESOME!

if he keeps this up he stays...and deserves to.

I was all for sure we were sending him down, but the last 2 games (Ottawa and Detroit at home) he is starting to play much better.  If he can keep it up, he is going to be staying.

Johansen got his minutes cut in the loss to Buffalo. Played very sparingly in the later half of the second and almost none in the third.

But I'd say keep him. Who would you fill his spot with anyways?

at this point with the season over i would have to say send him back down ... its obvious that he is not going to get real minutes by this coach ... this team is not going to do anything this year ... save the year on his contract and bite the bullet ... take your collective lumps and fail away and hope to land the #1 overall

sad... so much hope and optimism in the off season...

gotta see it live ...?
