I posted this in the game day forum last night but i'll re-post it in here concerning this exact same topic Something interesting that my dad just told me. My dad just got off the phone with my uncle who lives in montreal and my uncle told my dad that there is rumor that carter is not happy here in columbus and wants to be traded, but Carter's agent is denying this. Apparently the rumor is that we are going to trade Carter to the islanders for Montoya.

The report is ridiculous.
He's played 8 games with CBJ. No doubt hes frustrated and wants to win, but until I hear it from his mouth, I wont believe it.
Arniel and Howson need to get the boot. This is a prime example of a talented team with nobody to lead it.

Yeah since when is RDS a viable source....always count on some stupid Montreal reporter to start up something. But for the sake of discusing a possibility , if Carter is going to be traded might as well blow the rest of the team up.We have past the point of no return anayways. |

ok first of all i believe this is total crap ...
he may be pissed and frustrated and want to be on a better team who can win regularly ... BUT he is not ... and he is still getting paid MILLIONS of dollars to play hockey
if i were Columbus and he did ask to be traded i would say ... no we gave up alot to get you ... we believe in you and want to win with you ... and remind him that we have him under contract for the next decade
at this point i honestly would rather see Nash get traded than Carter ...
while it sucks that we fans have to deal with this while enduring the worst team in the league this year ... i am ok with the losing as long as it lands us something substantial ( #1 overall draft pick ) we really do need it ... 11 years of sucking is a drop in the bucket compared to some franchises ...

well now that you mention it ... i have always wanted the CBJ to land him as a coach ... not becuase he is a great coach ... just purely for selfish reasons ... i want to meet him... and figure hey ... much better odds if he is coach here lol

To be fair, Arny isnt the worst coach weve ever had...but he's getting there. At what point in the season do you pull the plug on him?
