paper says mason will likely "be in the lineup" tomorrow.  Dunno if that means "play", I hope not.  I play Sanford until he loses.

but when Dekanich is back, it will be interesting.  he and mason have one way contracts.  so they would have to clear waivers.  I'm unsure of the waiver rules, but Sanford has a two way.

we still haven't seen Dekanich play; Sanford has played well; Mason has fugly stats.

I expect our administration to scratch a goalie for awhile unless someone....gets hurt.

Sanford is the man, hopefully it gives Mase some motivation to pick his ass up off the ice and actually try stopping pucks.

Ef Steve Mason. Ef him hard and good.

Give Dex time to recover, then package Mase + Brass for a blue liner. UNFORTUNATELY, the market is increasingly small for bottom of the league goaltenders and 1st round busts/bench warmers.

So whats going to happen when we get mase and dex back? are we going to keep 3 goalies on the roster, or send one of them down and hope they clear waivers?

My guess Dex will go back to springfield for conditioning. Remember he was in Springfield when he got hurt so really dex is already in the ahl and does not need to clear waivers again.

Well winning was fun while it lasted  bang head

I think we should start a pool of how many minutes in Mason lets in his first goal.

Mason out of the lineup = this team starts playing good...you're in denial if you think that is a coincidence.

I agree Sanford has played well.

But the SA strategy change to play a bit more defensively has helped both the goalie and, ironically, the offense.

right now, we're clicking on all cylinders.  I can't see starting anyone but 30.

IF Sanford qualified for goalie statistics, he would currently lead the league in GAA and save percentage. Steve Mason, who does qualify, was damn near dead last in both of those categories.

Bye Steve.  Yahoo

Good post on The Cannon about what to do with Mason:

http://www.jacketscannon.com/2011/11/26/2587801/steve-mason-is-there-a-road-back

Kinda like Option 4. Go with the goalie that's winning, and give Mason some spot starts. He has to prove he can be the starting goaltender.

thanks for the link.

interesting that the article did not mention Dekanich.  his return would make it easier to send Mason to Springfield for a rehab stint.
