Blasphemy, oh my!
Chunk, I am surprised the piranhas haven't circled you yet and ate your rep up in true adult fashion

A very intelligent and rather good looking fellow has said this on more than one occasion. And had it been done two years ago, we would now (or at least next year) be seeing the reward from it.
Rick Nash will never be able to lead a team to a winner, he is not a top 15 guy. He is a top 5 second tier guy, hence he needs to be on a team with a top guy to win. Our problem is and always has been that we have forced fed this Nash is elite scenario on the fans. Every year, we blame coaches, injuries, position needs, and my favorite "chemistry", as the reason we suck.... The one constant, NASH!
In true mismanagement fashion, we now have waited to long. Nash would bring some decent return, but he is damaged goods, and is nowhere near the trade piece he was 2-3 years ago, just like Mason! There is no way a team will trade a proven NHL player at the level we need for Nash, that's why you hear the GM say Nash is here as our captain. The only thing we can get is a 1st round pick, AHL prospect, and maybe a 2nd line defenseman. And if that 1st round pick is a top 3 pick, you aren't getting much else. The top teams interested in Nash are looking at him to lead their 2nd line, sorry that's a fact.
Oh, by the way, just got off the phone with Jake Voracek, he says thanks to CBJ management!
Stay strong Chunk, your making good sense
