We didn't quit!  We played hard...at least after spotting them a 2 goal lead.

The highlight of the night came well before the game started however.  We're sitting there after warmups but before the game and JP McConnell comes walking up to us.  He thanked us for coming out, saying he knows it's an expensive night.  He made a comment about the team getting better but mostly I was just in shock he wandered into the upper bowl to greet the common man.  It really seems like something his dad would have done.

Then the game....we score with 0.8s left!?!?!? wtf?  ....and that was a sweet pass from Gillies.  I wonder how likely he thought it was it'd get through.  10%?

Also heard that McConnell was walking around the upper bowl before the game, but I must have missed him or was already in my section.

It was a surprise how a different team came out in the 2nd period.  I mean if we are only going to play 40 minutes of hockey, let the first 20 be the one we don't play.

I agree.....

But I'm still confused why we can't just play 60 minutes a game.  Other teams seem to be able to do it....
