HHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHA!

Semin just became of of my favorite players in the NHL with that quote! I don't fully agree with him because it's obvious that Crosby is something special but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy when Crosby get's made fun of, plays poorly, or gets injured. In fact I welcome those things happening to 87. I see Crosby as a arrogant "I'm better than you are" hockey player, which is why I am not a big fan. However players like Semin go to work and are a little less quiet about it, but just as effective. (We'll that applied to Semin before this interview). Crosby is always complaining when things aren't going perfectly, unlike OVY. If Ovy has a problem, he goes out onto the ice and takes care of it. If Crosby has a problem you can probably find him in a conversation with one of the officials. hah

I'm sure there's someone on this site who will argue with me over Crosby, so bring it on.  big grin

I live in Nova Scotia (where Crosby is from) and the kid has been squacking on the ice since he was a youngster. In midget triple A he would talk to the ref after almost every play that he was on the ice for complaining that he got held or high sticked etc. That's why I'm not a fan of his. Now I will say that he's a great person, great ambassador of the sport, and possesses (sp) tremendous skills. And he was right to complain alot during minor hockey as he was so much better than everyone else that he would be held, high sticked, slashed etc more than others and there did seem to be a little "he's crosby, he can deal with it because he's so talented and i dont need to call a penalty" attitude from some refs. But the amount of complaining he did was just too much, it was rediculous, thank god he's matured over time and is nowhere near as bad as he was. I enjoyed Semin having the balls to speak his mind. I agree with him to a degree, all we seem to hear and see is crosby this crosby that because the nhl is trying to use him like they did gretzky as the face of the league. But Crosby is not head and shoulders above anyone in the league. I think guys like Ovechkin, Crosby, Nash, Semin, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Phaneuf, Thornton etc should all be getting the same amount of attention. But that unfortunately doesn't happen because Sidney is talented, well spoken, good looking, north american, young and has been deemed "the next great one" since he was a boy.

Good follow up except 1 problem I found

good looking

could be debatable, to me a young looking tranny isn't the most appealing to my eyes, especially when it includes a dirty teen stash.

Also I agree that they are trying to market him as the Next Great one, but for now in my eyes hes the next good one.

Hey man, I'm straight, but I'm also comfortable with my sexuality enough to say that he is good looking. It's not like I say to myself when I see Crosby "ouuu he's cute!" give me a break. There's a reason why teen girls love him.

With that said I still haven't met any girls who think Crosby is a good looking guy, they all say he looks too girlish.

Oh really, I've met a few who think he's good looking. But everyone has a different opinion of what good looking is. Let's end this discussion. lol

A year and a half later, and I believe Crosby is awesome. Wow things can change.

I still don't like how he isn't tough, but he is so unreal at almost every aspect that I can no longer dislike him.

- Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is the winner of the 2009 Lou Marsh Award.

The honour - decided by a panel of sports editors, reporters and broadcasters - is given annually to Canada's outstanding athlete by the Toronto Star.

The superstar forward led his team to the Stanley Cup in June.

If he's our best athlete then I gotta support him
