12 games left, we are 7 points out. This week, however, while we have been sitting here with 4 days off... games around the league have been going our way as far as the standings go.

Its a long shot, very unlikely, but if the pins fall our way and we finish strong... we're not out of it yet!!

Is anyone still holding on to slim playoff hopes??

didn't see that there was another topic... my bad.    But again last night, the games went pretty much in our favor. we have a game in hand now and if we can beat Chicago tonight, we are within 5 points!  Hold on to hope!!!! ;D

I believe in our boys! I think they want (and rightfully so) to earn a little respect in the NHL. It's hard to say if we are going to make the playoffs because you can't assume what the other teams will do, but I do believe our boys have it in them to give it their absolute all! Go Jackets!!

i dont' know if it woudl take 12 straight...  we are 7 points out with a game in hand. we have to have, in our last 12 games, 3 to 4 more wins than vancouver and a couple more than Nashville and Phoenix. yeah that sound like a lot, but say we finish 10-2 or 9-2-1... these teams go something like 7-4-0 we catch them.   We really need to finish strong, but i think we win 10, we can slide in the back door!

Undoubtedly, at this point, all geames are huge... but this game tonight against Chicago is a MUST win. We have to win that game we have in hand. lose tonight and the deficit is almost too big to overcome... especially since that would put Chicago ahead of us. that woudl be another team we would have to pass. just too much. So Lets see Nash lead this team as the new C to a huge win in Nationwide toniht!!!

Thanks for the optimism CBJfan...the team needs nothing less at this point! Me and GoalieLove will be at the game rooting on our boys to victory!
