Red Wings tonight at 7pm.  Nothing like starting with a bang after the allstar break.

We're 2 points out of the last playoff spot as of right now.   Would be nice to start off with a big win tonight!

Also, Mason should start tonight.

I am hoping for a great game!

It will be interesting to see how the Wings do minus Lidstrom and Datsyuk... what a total crap suspension by the way. I guess next year everyone will know what to do to avoid, just remember the Cindy Crysbaby rule.

yeah, the rule kinda sucks. But i could see the all star game becoming very watered down of the stars if there were no consequences for not showing up. Everyone in the league could use the rest, no doubt.

as of now, i like the rule because it helps our chances tonight!!  ROFL

I am hoping the Wings keep it interesting without Nick and Pavs...

The Wings are now appealing the suspensions.

i like the rule... its solid and keeps guys from blowing off the all star game... which they should be honored to be able to play in anyway...

but i hate the fact that they suspend career good guys in the league in ( dats and lidstrom ) highly classy and are much respected... those 2 each on thier own have done plenty for the NHL as ambasadors and as ultra talented players...

that being said ... i love it cause its against us lol...

i got a feelin that tonight ... we crush these guys... we take the body and we score on the PP

we win behind another A-MASE-IN performance...

5-3

Puck Rakers is reporting that the appeals did no good and Lidstrom and Datsyuk will be out tonight.

not the best rule in the book, but i'm glad they stuck to their guns. a rule is a rule, no matter how dumb.

Bummer... while I think a rule is a rule, I still think there are different rules for Cindy Crosbaby. I was listening to something Chris Osgood said on the radio and it was very true... He basically said, "If you watch commercials for the NHL you would think Pittsburgh won the Cup this year. All their promos have Penguins scoring goals on us... I haven't seen any of us scoring on them. I thought we won the Cup though." Not exact words, but something to that effect.

Looking forward to the tilt this evening.

i can understand the red wings point of view, but non hockey fans will recognize crosby before datsuyk or zetterberg or anyone else on the red wings...it's called marketing for a reason and crosby is the face of the league right now...to grow the sport in america you have to have someone who can speak the language.and whether you like him or not he is the best option right now

THATS how a captain has to lead!!! 3-2 win with HATS on the ice for RICK NASH!!! 2 thumbs up    Great game and the Jackets start this critical stretch with a win over the Red Wings... does it get any better???

Power play looked good tonight i thought. The adjustments Hitch made looked nice. We controlled the puck much better and found some open ice. made some really good passes.  That was a beautiful play when Jake nailed the pipe on the pass from Tyutin.

what a game!     maybe we should bring Fly back and have him convince us to trade Nash... what do you think?

Big win, just what they needed to do in front of a home crowd.   Another OT win, but it's a win and vs the Wings.

when its against the wings, a 3 point game is perfectly ok. We just cant be having those against teams like the canucks, oilers, ducks, and all those other teams we are fighting with in teh standings. Wings will win the division regardless.

When they dont play the jackets, i root for them every night so that those points arent spread out to all the teams we fight with. i hope they runaway with the division. less pts for others!!
