now that the excitement of trade deadline is over... its back to the scoreboard.

A few big games on the docket for tonight.

First off, most importantly, we gotta beat the preds.

Dallas @ LA (go Kings)
Edmonton @ Ottawa (Carry them to victory Pazzy!!)
Minnesota @ SJ (no Nabby again tonight for the Sharks, but they are tough at home!)

Best case scenario tonight we move within 2 pts of Vancouver and open up a 4 pt cushion on 7th place, sounds nice doesnt it?

Worst case scenario, we could drop into a 3 way tie for 6th with Edmonton and Nashville (Edmonton having a game in hand on us)



man this is tight... and its not gonna change!!   blink

the sens are beating the living crap out of the oil tonight, 4-1.
Coyotes did win, but they're too far back.

our game is not lookin good,   but at least Edmonton lost. Lets hope the Sharks and Kings can win tonight

The dark jersey's looked fluid, puck to stick, and very fast.  The light jersey's seemed to be chasing the puck all the time.  They always had 2 guys on our guy with the puck, we kept chasing them.  We are really looking slow and out of pace against these quicker better passing teams.  I hope we get it together!

Tonights big games:

CBJ @ Detroit:   lets bounce back
Minn @ LA: go Kings
StL @ FL: Go Panthers
Edm @ Toronto: Big one here... lets go Leafs
Nash @ Philly: Another real big one, Nashville has to cool off sometime!!
SJ @ Vancouver: Still no Nabby, Boucher has to pick it up for us!

When the night is done, best case scenario, we move into 6th alone and move within 2 pts of vancouver
worst case scenario: we fall into 3 way tie for 7, 8, 9 with Dallas and Edmonton.

Canucks beat the Sharks, they are really struggling without Nabokov.  hopefully he comes back soon so they quit blowing it in all those games against the other contenders for these playoff spots.

Overall, we got 4 out of 6 positive outcomes in the games i mentioned for today... not bad. most importantly, we kicked the crap out of the Wings!  2 thumbs up

really only 2 games that we should have our eye on for Sunday:

Montreal @ Dallas   This would be a nice one for us to clear some space between us and Dallas, who is right on our tail.

Minnesota @ Anaheim We are better off if Anaheim wins this one i think... Anaheim has one more pt than Minnesota, but they have played two more games. that one is up for debate. the main thing is, NO OT!!
