I've heard rumors go both ways, he'll be back in the playoffs and that he'll just be ready for training camp for next season.  Has anyone heard any facts on this subject?

yeah all i've heard is that he will not return until next season. I had heard had we held onto LeClaire, he would have a chance at postseason, but that Brassard's surgery was more extensive and he would not be ready.

I cant remember where i saw it, but Howson said that he would NOT be playing again this year, this was after he went to reporters and said he would be ready by the playoffs.

I am just happy that the kid can come back.  I had heard, that his injury could have been career ending.  I look forward to having him back in the line up next year.  He had an amazing short season, and to have that little shooter back on the line should help even more points roll in for next year.

Can't wait to see Brass turn up to camp next year in better shape than ever. Hopefully he turns into a elite scoring center man like Jeff Carter.

I know Howson said he's going to stick to the return time the doctors said, but if Brassard sees the doctor this week he could be cleared to play.  I'd love to see him back.

I have a pants-tent for today's fifth practice line (as reported by puck-rakers)...

F5: Alexandre Picard -- Derick Brassard/Chris Gratton -- Nikita Filatov

Man, that would have been fun to watch...

If Brassard comes back during the series, another problem for Detroit to worry about if he is on his game.

For whatever reason the midday show on 97.1 was mentioning Brassard back in game 3.  Not sure if that is speculation or if they know something.  I can't stick by the radio so I only hear bits and pieces.

When I heard it, it sounded more like Torgy's wishful thinking though it seems like that is more than speculation based on what Porty/Condor have mentioned on the blog...
