Hopefully they come back and they are one of our affiliates..The Reds have the Dragons, why not the Bombers for the Jackets.  I know we have Johnstown already, but wouldn't it make sense to keep the money in the state and the talent...:) Oh well, that's just me ranting...:)

Apparently they need a new arena. I'm actually surprised that over 3,000 fans a game is not enough to keep the team afloat.

I've been to the venue in Dayton before, I thought it was enough to serve the needs of a ECHL team, but apparently not. It's obviously now a very nice building, but it could still serve the Bombers, I think. It's a bummer that we can't keep them, but it's business, you don't got $$, you're not going to last long!

supposedly they are trying to get a new arena downtown - I guess they didnt like how the Nutter Center was run.

Also the Bombers were at one point the CBJ's affilate - then they moved the Elmira, and now Johnstown for whatever reason.

The supposed reason for cbj pulling the affiliate with the bombers is because the bombers did not pay a certain yearly payment this year that was standard to keep the jackets funding them.

Well, that would certainly do it.

There have been some rumblings up here in Michigan about Dayton coming into the IHL.  Along with Quad City who will be losing their AHL team after this season.

I just hope the nutter center gets hockey back, I'm going to Wright State starting this fall and it'd be awesome to have a team right around the corner.

that would be awesome for you, I hope they do, also because a lot of the fans in Dayton loved the team.

Well for any of you who remember the dayton gems from way back in the day before the bombers were even on the map (fly I think would be one of the only ones that would know being from a similar region as me) will be making a return at the hara arena, my old home when I played ice hockey in travel league back in the day haha Glad to see dayton got another team at least
