The cannon says BOOM!

With all the information that's leaked out since Tuesday about what actually went down with Foote, I must say I'm pretty disgusted.  If he really threatened to not be a good player/teammate/captain...I mean wow.  How classless is that?

Of course the media in Columbus may be baised, but as I see it, I've lost all respect I had for the man, which was a lot.  There's just too much info adding up - the house up for sale, private plane waiting at CMH overnight, tickets already reserved for family and friends for the Tuesday night game in Calgary...  I'm very curious to see how the fans respond to him next time we play the Avs.  (Cause we all know he's going to re-sign there)

Any thoughts?

I read the dispatch article where the columnist was basically calling Foote out and saying he was saying one thing and doing another.  I believe Foote demanded to be traded and had all the worked out.  I'll bet the reason we traded him was to prevent issues in the locker room.  Howson was quoted as saying he was willing to lose Foote at the end of the year for the playoff run.  There was something that pushed him to trade him to......Colorado.

I think most of what we're hearing is probably true.   Good riddance Foote.

I'm kind of glad that we got rid of Foote. Yeah we lost our captain in the process, but i think the team will do just fine without him. I think that IF he would have resigned with the team, there would be a lot of tension in the locker room between him, the team and even management. I was shocked when I read that article in the Dispatch and found out about the private plane waiting for him. He even got to play in that game in Calgary. I think that he should management straight up that he didn't want to resign with the team instead of making Howson come up with a deal with Foote's agent and pursue the Richards trade.
