Hope somebody just takes control of the game in the 3rd. Rather know early on.  Rather not have to go through a shootout still waiting on a winner, but if the Avs win that way, I won't mind.

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of playing the Red Wings in the first round.  They've gone 3-6-1 in their last 10, lost to NYI, Calgary, Nashville, StL (twice), Chicago (twice) with wins over Minn, Edmonton, and Buffalo.  Bring it on.

My only worry is that they haven't had much to play for lately and we may be fresh meat, but Osgood vs Nash will be interesting as Nash always seems to have his number, you wonder if Conklin might see some action if that happens just to possibly throw us off.

I would have figured they would have had the President's Trophy to play for... bragging rights at the very least with guaranteed home-ice advantage.

Aaaaaaand Detroit it is.....

St. Louis won....so its Detroit officially since they have the tiebreaker on us. and St. Louis vs. Vancouver and Anaheim vs. San Jose.   No home ice advantage this playoffs...:(

One good thing that may come of this is a Sunday/Wed home game stand if we catch a Wednesday 4/15 start to the series since there won't be much traveling.
