Might as well get this thread started.   This ought to be an interesting series.   1st Timer vs the Defending Champs.

so we have our first round matchup and a few days to talk about it. Its now officially gonna be red wings and i'm not really disappointed to fall to 7th to tell you the truth. No traveling now, which i think is important. I think we will be able to score in this series but as we've talked about, stopping them is gonna be the problem.

Mase is gonna have to be at the top of his game for sure. I would really like to See Commodore step up his game to what it was earlier in the season. He seems to have been a bit off lately.

Time to talk playoffs guys!!! Yahoo

No better way to get initiated in the playoffs than a date with the reigning champs from Detroit.  I think this is a good matchup for us, as we have played well against the Wings all season.  We are definitely not afraid of these guys.  However, given the way we played the last two games, we need to step up our play an extra notch in order to have a shot.  Mason will have to stand on his head and the defense will again have to do a yeoman's job.  However, I have complete faith in the CBJ that they can get it done.  good  So--bring 'em on!

GO JACKETS!   Carry the flag and BEAT MICHIGAN--er, DETROIT!

As Hitch said after the Pittsburgh game, there were too many people with funny colored sweaters in the building---Don't sell your tickets to Detroit fans (if you can), sell them to CBJ fans!

Well, I said I wanted em and I got my wish, now the boys have to come through for me/us. Wed. or Thurs. will be game day. The crowd needs to be CBJ people, don't let it be wings fans like it has been for the past 9 years. Can't wait! GO JACKETS!!! MARCH ON!

It's fitting that we would face them in our first playoff series.   It's time to get tough.

I couldnt agree more!!!!  this is something i'm a bit worried about. There are a lot of wings fans in the building every time we play them. I'm really hoping that not too many wings fans can get their hands on tickets. Its important to keep the building full of loud jackets fans. It was less so a problem this year, but in the past i have been to NWA and heard chants of lets go red wings and our fans didnt seem to care... i TRULY hope that is not the case come playoff time!!!

I know a few Wings fans in Columbus area, but don't know if they have tickets already.  Let's hope we have a "Blue Jacket"-out at NWA.
