First, I have to say congrats on having your team make it to the playoffs for their first time.  It must be an amazing feeling for all of you.  I live just 25 miles north of detroit So i'm sure you know where my loyalty lies.  That being said, I don't wish to start any trouble with you.  I merely just want to let you Jackets fans in on something fun us wings fans do at playoff time.  Each round we start a new photoshop thread for each team we play, creating or editing pictures that Poke fun at the other team.

This is just innocent fun and We have fun with it on letsgowings.com, So i thought maybe i'd let you all know and we could get a friendly rivalry going.  To be honest, IMO the wings got the worst possible first round matchup because I've seen what your jackets can do to My Stanley cup champs and It isn't pretty.  With all that said, I wish the jackets luck, but not too much : )

Here is the link to the photoshop thread on letsgowings.com

http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56832

Us wings fans would love for you to participate in this with us and remember that its all in good fun.  Anyways, may the best team win.  Good luck ladies and gents!

friendly rivalry is always good! its just the guys who come in to start trouble that we have to worry about. i'll have to check out your link and see what kind of stuff you come up with.

good luck, but not much!

checked it out and those are pretty funny. i will admit it even as a jacket fan!!!   that is a pretty fun tradition and maybe we should look into getting on it!!

although i do have a gripe about the trophy one,  i think you got a bit of a head start (but it was still funny)  ROFL

It is good to see that you guys have a good sense of humor about this.  Like i said even tho some may seem harsh, its all just for fun and I have nothing but respect for other hockey fans who Know how to take a good natured joke.  Last year in the finals we had this going and a LOT of the penguins fans would take it all seriously even though we invited them to join just as I am inviting you guys to join this year.  I believe every team has good and bad fans, and for the most part, all of us on letsgowings.com are a classy bunch and will welcome anyone there as long as there is respect upheld.  I would never even dream of coming to another team's space and disrespecting them.  It shows no class and lack of maturity really.  Anyways CBJ fans, enjoy and this should be a great hard fought series.  I'd say my one HUGE worry about your team is that beast of a goalie you've found yourselves.

Again, good luck (just not enough of it to beat us  :checking: )

Yea, lets see what we can come up with.

Hey Tuskin, you're a graphics designer, we need a good one.

Okay, I'm new to this board but I love me some photoshop, especially for something like this.  And I hate strongly dislike the wings.

So my question, is it over the line to make a foreclosure/auto industry failure joke?  Would that qualify as too soon?

We're new to this war photoshop thing.  I'm not certain that there are rules so do whatever.  I'm going to create a thread for people to post their pictures in.

BTW, welcome to the boards Kopechcr!

If I had any skills in this, I would totally be making some.  Glad to see some wings fans have respect for us.

Hey, what's up guys?

I'm 23, I live in Columbus, and I'm a Wings fan. I'm a complete stranger in my own town the next couple of weeks. I go to quite a few Jackets game every year and I pull for the Jackets when they're not playing the Wings. Of course, all that goes out the window now.

This series has me slightly worried. Yeah, Steve Mason scares me, since he seems to be a monster against the Wings. But I'm more worried because I haven't seen the kind of consistency from the Wings all season that would give me the confidence that we're gonna come out and play high intensity hockey. I have a feeling we'll see a couple of games where the shots are 30 to 10 in favor of the Wings, yet the score will be tied at 2. And my pants will be wet.

Anyway, that grouping of incoherent ramblings was my first post. I'll be at Game 3. Go Wings!

By the way, anyone wanting to talk to Wings fans, letsgowings.com and the Abel 2 Yzerman blog on KuklasKorner.com are two great places I frequent.

On 97.1FM they are talking about people like you right now. People who are Wings fans first and Jackets fans second that are buying tickets and may contribute to the atmosphere not being as hostile as it should be in for the Wings.  People like you need to be in a very large minority.
