I only get the Dispatch on Sundays but I'm going to buy one today to get the enhanced preview of the playoffs and the Jackets!

Kudos for the Dispatch following the Jackets all season.  Unlike the TV media who are just now showing interest.  :bandwagon:

Portzline and Reed (and the rest of the staff, but mostly them) do fantastic work keeping the information flowing.

Their forums are a little lacking (of course) but this is the best site for CBJ info.

DISAGREE!  I think Portzline and Reed are hacks!  The dispatch does follow the Jackets, but come on, its there only professional big sport team.  Up until the mid part of the season, we were lucky to get any front page notice, let alone be the top story in sports.  I think the overall coverage, before this great year, was pathetic.  As far as the individual reporters, they wouldn't even be considered knowledgable posters on this site.  No Kudos here!!!!

i gotta disagree with fly on this one......my fever must have broke....

i think these guys give us more hockey coverage than any team outside of canada... i hit websites of canadian newspapers and they are close to giving more information more often as those and definatly give out more that american teams...porty is held in high esteem by a lot of hockey pundits....appreciate what we have it could be bob hunter as the beat reporter.....altho i really like arace and his hockey coverage

I agree with hogg on this one, I have really started to enjoy the stories and podcast of AP and the crew at the Dispatch, I'm not focusing on the past, I'm focusing on now. And fly, why we got no attention over the past 9 years is because we were always in last place, I mean who wants to read about a team that is a basement dweller.

No front page love until mid-season?  I wonder why that could be...

I normally check the dispatch every day for news on the Jackets.  Honestly I have found the Newark Advocate has more up to date information on the Jacket's on there website than the Dispatch does.  I guess Newark doesn't have any better to report about.  LOL.  I checked out the playoff preview in the dispatch today.  Seemed like pretty good info for those new bandwagon boys.  There was a "poster" of Nash today and I believe tomorrow there will be one of Mason.

I am with you guys on the fact the we are getting a lot of coverage now!  And, I would agree it is fairly good, I just don't think it has been consistant!  As for not covering a losing team, I love reading about the Jackets, and have for years.  I hate it that we were losing, but I still was a fan and wanted coverage.  I guess its all for not now anyway, now that we are freakin awesome, we will get our coverage.

On my way to work this morning, I noticed on the side of the Worthington Industries building there was a big "Good Luck Jackets!" banner.  Made the foggy drive in very nice this morning.

It would be pretty nice to see "GO JACKETS" on the side of 1 Nationwide like they write "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" over Christmas...
