The Juice is Loose!!!

« on: March 16, 2008, 12:03:49 PM »

10 of our last 11 games are against the central division. Our playoff hopes are all but down the toilet, but we can show our division that we are not gonna lay down. This is a tough division and i am looking forward to playing them to finish out the year.

How does everyone think we will do down the stretch with 10 of 11 against divisional foes??

i say we finish 5-4-2 in our last 11...  (stab in the dark!)

I think that is a pretty good stab in the dark there CBJFan! That sounds very reasonable, but I think if our guys bring all their heart and strenth, and play three solid periods like they did  the first period against Detroit, we may be able to scrounge a few more wins!

Here's to optimism!

It's what needs to be done

but I've got some bets with friends that columbus will be in the playoffs. or at least finish ahead of the oil by the end of the year

yeah, 20 pts sounds awesome

I just found this on HockeyBuzz.com and its pretty sweet. Hitch is a genious and the best coach we'll ever have.

Quote
Ken Hitchcock has self imposed a 4 round best of 3 playoff setup for the Jackets (if you can't make the playoffs, make your own I say). He said that the CBJ needs to win every 3 game playoff series to make the legit playoffs. 9 and 3 over the next 12 would be a great stretch but I still don't think it would be good enough. 20 points will be needed over the 12 game stretch. If they pull that off and don't make it in, I would still be jacked up for next season with a run like that!

Very good idea.  Hitch is going to do us well next year and beyond!  I like what he is doing.

no doubt Hitch is a genius. He is everything we need here and has us going in the perfect direction. we are on our way up. its a long process to bring a team up from the bottom, but we are on our way!

I agree with u all about Hitch being a genius. This is the best season that we've had since joining the league. Yeah we lost 2 vets, but I think we have done just fine without them. We will have a very good team next year with all of the young guys we have in the farm system and not to mention around 15-20 mill in cap space so maybe we could sign the center that we desperately need.
