I have to say, you Wings fans are the most respectful posters we've had here.  Most other teams fans just come to oneline troll. 

It was a good game last night.  We played pretty well for the first 30 minutes then lost our edge.  Not capitalizing on the early PP killed us.   

Hope we can get you Saturday!

Thanks.  You guys have been rather welcoming!  It's always fun to muck it up with other fans, but I always like to keep it fun and respectful.

I tried to quote Nate's post, it didn't work out.

1) I am excited to have watched my first Jackets playoff game!
2) I am mad we lost, but am still proud of the team!
3) We were just beaten by a better team.  We have great players and can compete on a line, but from top to bottom, they are better.  There is nothing wrong with that, we will get better, and the Wings are the champions.
4) WHY is Jake not playing more??  We see it, even the dumbies on FSN see it.  Jake and Umberger were the only real offensive players last night.  But, he plays less than Chimer, Williams, etc, heck even Slowdin played as much, WTF.  If we are going to win, Jake has to be out there at least 16 minutes with the likes of Umberger, Nash, Vermette.
5) I am proud of the team for getting here, they need to tighten up a little and play better, but we are in the playoffs.  But, I can't wait until June, July, and October of this year.  What an exciting time it will be for all of us.

Good post.  Maybe Jake will play more.  Hitch was quoted as saying something like "some players played good, others were below the bar.  The players below the bar where below the bar at the end of season."  Sounds like a possible prelude to a shake up.  Hopefully.

I can't believe we won faceoffs. It felt like everytime I looked up the Jackets were winning the draws, maybe that was just the first period.

...Great first period for the CBJ

...Klesla had a bit of nasty in him!  First I've seen him play like that since he was drafted.  Hopefully we don't have to wait another 8 years to see some more.

...Jackets are WAY outmatched talent-wise beyond the first forward line

...Wish CBJ would stop pulling their hits.  If you're not going to finish your hits get off the damned ice.  Saw quite a few pirouetting Jackets last night trying to avoid contact (Nash) and looking like ice dancers.  You want that opposing player wondering where you're at every time he goes for the puck.  Rocking him on the boards a few times makes this happen.

...The only way we take ONE game is to finish every check, fight for every puck and get nasty.  Dump and chase boys.  You're not going to carry the puck end to end in the playoffs against the champs.

LET'S GO GET 'EM GAME 2.  My stomach is already feeling queasy in anticipation.

I hate to say this, I know it was cause a big ol' fight, but a player who is standing out is Commodore!  NOT for the right reasons though!  It seems like the last month, Commy has left, and is a liability!  He looks slow, is having a horrible time handling the puck, and when he should be hitting someone he is standing and watching them score, and when he should be defending a guy and not hitting someone else (our own teammates), he leaves guys wide open.  I liked the Commy signing, and think he did a decent job for the first part of the year, but this last run at the playoffs was in spite of him.  I do not consider him a top line defenseman, and think he should be relegated to less time.  Hopefully the offseason will allow him to move down on the depth chart!
