he is definitely sucking. but in my opinion, with the guys playing like they have been in front of him, you could throw Brodeur, Nabokov, Thomas, or anyone out there and they would. Bad Defensive play will make any goalie look horrendous. Mason is off his game, but to tell you the truth, its not him i blame!!!

In retrospect, Mason sucks.  Garon should immediately be named the starter for the rest of the way, and Stevie should get about as many starts as our good friend Wade did last year.  Or maybe he should just start so we can get the #1 pick?

It's really disappointining when you're sitting in the middle of a bunch of blackhawks fans a mere 10 feet from Mason with the lead, and you can't talk trash back because you know they are going to lose.

Hitch said in the post game interview that it was up to Scotty to make the call to send him to Syracuse.

Fans at the game today was calling for him to get yanked after the 3rd goal in the 1st period.

i was ready for him to be pulled after the first goal, that was just an atrocity in terms of netminding, basically passed the puck right to the hawk off in front and then waved at it as it was shot by him. You simply cannot sit back and accept this at A PRO level.

It does have to be mental.  As horrendous as Mase was in the 1st periond, he was transversely sharp in period 2.

This from Puckrakers...

"Howson said if they tried to send Mason to the minors he would have to clear waivers. The Jackets have one other option available -- a two-week conditioning stint. "Not going to do it at this point," Howson replied in the text."

And then transversely un-sharp in the third.... but I agree he did turn things around in the second.

To hear that Tommy B. from Pittsburgh also had a short stint in the minors in his second season, well seems to make one think that it might not be all that bad for Mason.
